Adelaide: St. Panteleimon Greek Orthodox Church saved from fire

Firefighters have saved a church from destruction at Glenelg North in Adelaide, but not before the blaze caused $100,000 damage Tuesday afternoon.

Multiple triple-0 calls bombarded fire crews just before 1pm with reports the St. Panteleimon Greek Orthodox Church, on Anzac Hwy, was engulfed in flames.
Four appliances responded to the threat and found the rear of the church well alight.

Crews took 15 minutes to contain the fire and stopped it from spreading to nearby properties.

The cause is undetermined and no one was injured people.
