Anthea's Blues Soul and Rock n' Roll

Anthea Sidiropoulos is a well known singer and performer of Greek background in Melbourne. Recently she recorded a new CD with old time classic songs of Blues, soul and Rock n' Roll. On this occasion she spoke to SBS radio Greek.

Known as Anthea-Jewels, she captivates her audience with a great repertoire. Ranging from Greek classics to Janis Joplin.  Now Anthea and her band present a new CD full of oldies but goldies. Labeled Blues Soul and Rock n Roll.

It contains sizzling sax lines, sublime guitar, rock steady rhythm section and soul stirring  vocals.

Songs chosen from an era of struggle between the sexes and surviving adversity of life.

Music inspired by Ike and Tina Turner, Etta James, Aretha Franklin, Janis Joplin and performed by Anthea-Jewels in lead vocals, Dan Miller – Guitar, Rob Calvert – Sax, Bill Ruffle - Bass and Rob George – Drums.
