The Australian tennis player is one step away from a place in the French Open final after dispatching Madison Keys 6-3 7-5.

In tonight’s semi she will play American teenager Amanda Anisimova, who stunned defending champion, the Romanian Simona Halep, winning in two sets ( 6-2 6-4).

In the other women’s semi (also tonight at 7 p.m. AEST) Britain’s Johanna Konta will meet Market Vondrousova of the Czech Republic.

The  men’s semi-finals will start at about 11.00 p.m. (AEST). Rafael Nadal takes on Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic Dominic Thiem
