The Australian Retailers Association’s chief, Russel Zimmerman told Sky News that Australians will spend 2.4 billion on Boxing Day. That’s an increase of 3.1% compared to last year.

This Boxing Day is different for Adelaide as it’s the first time stores in the suburbs will be allowed to operate. Before this change only shops in Adelaide’s CBD were open during Boxing Day.
Traffic in chaos in Sydney
People in Sydney are experiencing long delays since early this morning, as eager consumers are swarming the streets. Homebush in particular was severely affected, with some busses being delayed for an hour and 40 minutes, as people tried to make their way in DFO.
