Greek police are on alert following a bomb scare in the early hours of Tuesday in the Athenian district of Vyronas.

The device was placed in parked motorcycle outside the home of Supreme Court deputy prosecutor Isidoros Dogiakos, in the Athens suburb of Vyronas.

A man called two news outlets at 4:00 am local time, saying that a bomb would explode in 20 minutes on Adramytiou Street.

Police rushed to the scene to find an explosive device hidden in a storage compartment of a parked motorbike which failed to explode.
