Canberra is celebrating Greek

The annual Greek Glendi of Canberra takes place today in the Garema Place, which is at the centre of the city.

The Glenti is part of the three annual Multicultural festivities which are an initiative of the local ACT Government.

The atmosphere today is one with many Greek characteristics: Food, dancing, music, competitions etc.

«Glendi» is part of the largest multicultural event in the Australian Capital Region. With celebrations starting on Friday, and finishing on Sunday, with the "lion's share" occupying the Greek element, compared to organization, participation and visibility from other communities.
