Foster care information session

Every child has a right to a safe, happy and permanent home. Usually, the best place for them is with their family; however, there are some children and young people for whom it is not safe to live with their families. Parents may struggle for many different reasons, and this may lead to neglect and/or abuse of the children.

Kathy Karatasas from SSI Multicultural Foster Care will host a Foster care information session at St Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church Hall about the subject of child protection, the process involved in becoming a foster carer and how you can help children in care to stay connected with their family.
