Greek Australian poets revealed

Six small books, with works of equal number of Greek poets in Australia, open the wings of their pages with the help of the publisher Eleni Nika, in a special poetic afternoon.

Every poem an experience. Every word a memory. Every collection of poems, a work of life for Greek poets in Australia. The poetry works of the expatriate, will be presented, will be made and will give rise to a meaningful discussion about the role of poetry in modern society.

These are the most recent works of the poetry series chapbook, which numbers a total of 12 small poetry books. In Greek and English. The aim of the series is, among other things, to record the work of prominent poets of the Greek community. All of them have as their common theme aspects of "life in Australia", revealed at Greek program of SBS radio publisher Helen Nikas, which will present and co-ordinate this interesting afternoon of poetry.

The event will take place Saturday 20th of October at Steps Art Gallery in Carlton. Entry is free.
