Greek champion Lefteris Petrounias won the gold medal in the rings at the Melbourne World Gymnastics World Cup. It is his first medal after 15 months. After his victory at Melbourne Arena, Lefteris Petrounias dedicated the gold medal to his newborn daughter, as well as to the Greeks of Australia. He also announced that he would donate the Gold Medal prize money to aid those affected by the bushfires in Australia.
Rio de Janeiro Olympic gold medalist said he has "two more wins left" to secure qualification to the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. He must first compete in the Baku and Doha World Cups.
