Huge crowds expected on Katsifas funeral

Eleven days after his death, Konstantinos Katsifas‘ funeral is scheduled to take place in Vouliarates village today at 1 o’clock local time.

The body of the 35-year-old Greek man, who was killed after an exchange of gunfire with the Albanian police and special forces on October 28, was turned over to his father and sister in Albania’s capital, Tirana, on Tuesday.

Groups of people from all over Greece are expected to travel to the village of Vouliarates in order to attend Katsifa’s funeral, with buses already being booked from Athens, Thessaloniki, Larissa and Lefkada.
