In China at least 20 people are believed dead and over a million have been evacuated from their homes after typhoon Lekima.

It is the third most powerful typhoon on record in the country.

More than 250,000 residents in Shanghai and 800,000 in Zhejiang province were evacuated .

The death toll from floods in three Indian states has risen to over 100.

Heavy rain and landslides have forced hundreds of thousands of people to evacuate their homes.

A landslide has buried more than a dozen village houses in southeastern Myanmar, killing at least 42 people and injuring nearly 30.
