In his musical career, he recorded more than 1,500 songs. He was recognised as the voice of the working class, since many of his songs talked about their problems and complaints.

Using his expressive vocal interpretations to capture the joys as well as the melancholy longings of Greeks everywhere, especially those in the working class and emigrants in the Greek diaspora. This live tribute will focus on his earlier material in the heart of Oakleigh in Melbourne.

Musicians include Stavrina Dimitriou, George Malliaros, Achilles Yiangoulli, Dean Georgalas, Con Kalamaras and Ilias Gilos.
