Dorothy Poulopoulos she is an award-winning poet living in Melbourne. She is a member of the Melbourne Poets Union Committee, which includes poets from every corner of the world, not just Greek - Australians. She writes both in English and in Greek, while her poems have been published in magazines and anthologies, in Australia and in Greece where she lived for eight years (1994-2002). At the same time she teaches at La Trobe university and continues to write poetry, colored by words, springing from her soul.

Her collection of poems "A Brushstroke of The Soul" were published in 2016. This year (2018) she published one more poetry collection titled "The art of finding".
The presentation of this new poetry collection will take place along with five other Greek Australian who have been distinguished through a series of 12 chapbooks, from Owl publications and Helen Nikas. At an afternoon filled with poetry on Saturday, October 20, at 2.30 pm. at Steps Art Gallery, Carlton.

On this occasion Dorothy Poulopoulos opened her heart and spoke to us about the journey of self-discovery and self-awareness, which is taking place through the creation of her poems.
