Five homes have reportedly been lost in northern NSW as a result of out-of-control bushfires in the area, with more than 40 fires still burning across the state.
Gusty winds and high temperatures will combine to create "difficult conditions" for firefighters battling blazes in NSW on Wednesday, despite conditions easing overnight.
Police confirmed that five homes were razed by a separate blaze near Tabulam, which is still threatening properties.
The bushfire at Tingha has already burnt 5,600 hectares and is spreading quickly under strong and gusty winds.
