Road accidents: Greece tops the list in Europe, three people die in Australia every day

Greece has a negative lead in traffic accidents in Europe, as three people in Australia lose their lives on the road daily.

According to Eurostat data, twenty deaths per million people have been reported in Greece, which puts the country at the forefront of motorcycle accidents in Europe.

Heavy road toll in Australia

According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, 1,226 people died in the country in 2017, more than three deaths a day.

Every year since 1970 has seen a decrease in the road death toll with numbers dropping from 3,798 in 1970 to 1,226 in 2017.
