SBS Greek gives you seven reasons why you should make the long trip to Australia.

The journey to Australia is particularly long, from whichever region of the earth it is from. However, those who dare to do so, they are going to be rewarded for their choice.

The purpose of this tribute is not to attract tourists, but to help those already in Australia appreciate it for its beauties.

Below are seven reasons that make Australia special:

Beautiful beaches

Australia is a huge island surrounded by water. From the most popular Bondi Beach and Surfers Paradise, to the most remote in North Queensland. Australia is an attraction for water sports enthusiasts.

Idyllic weather

Australia is characterised by its mild climate. The country has a dry summer. Although winter can be particularly cold in southern areas such as Melbourne, Canberra and Tasmania, if you live or visit Sydney and Brisbane the weather is much warmer, however, more of a tropical climate.

International cuisine

As a multicultural country, Australia gives the visitor and its residents the opportunity to meet people from different walks of life and corners of the Earth. So apart from their culture, you can also taste their cuisine. There are dozens of restaurants in each city offering flavors of Mexican, Italian, Chinese and Greek Cuisine, with the list of countries and flavors being particularly large.

Sports

Australians love sports. Football, Rugby League, Footy, Basketball, Cycling and Tennis are some of most popular sports. If you love motorsports, Formula 1 racing meets the streets of Melbourne. Although people are passionate about sports, the hooliganism and violence are absent from the stadiums.

Natural beauties

The landscape of the country varied. From the big cities to inland, the scenery is radically changing. In the country there are natural beauties that stand out. Some of them are the Great Barrier Reef in Queensland, the Uluru and Kakadu National Parks in the Northern Territory, and the 12 Apostles in Victoria.

Sydney Harbor

If you live or intend to visit Australia, then you should definitely include city of Sydney in your list. The city is particularly large with many beauties. Features as the deep natural harbor, the Harbour Bridge (which stands out for its imposing fireworks display in new year) and the imposing Opera House building.

Easy communication

Having English as its official language, and despite its multicultural character, Australia is an easy place to communicate for the visitor or anyone wishing to live there. Note that there are hundreds of languages ​​spoken in the country, with Mandarin, Cantonese, Italian  and Greek to be the some of the most popular.
