It has been confirmed that the 25-year old woman who was brutally murdered last Saturday and her body was found at a Melbourne Park was of Greek background.
The Greek name of the victim, Courtney Herron, was Konstantina. Her mother Metaxia Antoniou and the family (father John, brother Christos, sister Antonia and grandmother Konstantina) placed a funeral notice in Melbourne’s Greek-speaking press. The funeral will take place at St Dimitrios church, at Monee Ponds.
The brutal death of Courtney/Konstantina has intensified the discussion and community’s grave concern for the safety of women.
For her death 27-year old Henry Hammond has been arrested and is facing changes.
