Tsitsipas to fight on Beijing final with Thiem

Stefanos Tsitsipas defeated German second seed Alexander Zverev 7-6 (8-6) 6-4 in the semi-finals of the China Open in Beijing to set up final with Austrian top seed Dominic Thiem.

Tsitsipas, 21, won 70 per cent of his first-service points and broke Zverev four times on Saturday to leave the German still seeking his first win over a top-10 opponent in 2019.

This year, Tsitsipas reached the finals of the Madrid Open, Millennium Estoril Open, Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships and in the men's doubles at the Miami Open.
