Two killed, including one suspect, in ongoing 'apparent' terror attack near Vienna synagogue

Multiple shots have been fired in the vicinity of a synagogue in Austria's capital, as police urged residents to stay indoors and refrain from posting videos to social media.

Two people, including one suspect, have been killed and multiple injured in an ongoing "apparent" terror attack near a synagogue in central Vienna.

Several shots were fired at the Stadttempel synagogue at about 8pm on Monday, local time, before a number of gunmen armed with rifles fired across six different locations, police said. 

A police officer was shot and seriously injured and one person was arrested, news agency APA reported, citing the Interior Ministry.
