National Library of Greece can be accessed by the Greek diaspora, says Dr Tsimboglou

Greece hosted in August the 85th World Library Information Congress, with Athens showcasing the knowledge and know - how that has collected over the centuries. Dr Phillipos Tsimboglou, president of the National Library of Greece, spoke to SBS Greek about the role of national libraries and what this spectacular library can offer to the Greeks abroad.


Athens, the city of wisdom and knowledge, has hosted thousands of librarians from 135 countries for the first time to discuss the challenges, the social role and the contribution and impact of technology to the access and dissemination of information and knowledge to a fast paced environment.
