Melbourne Cup has just finished on the shadow of the revelations at the 7:30 television program for abuse and mistreatment against the horses.

Greek Australian Marketing Associate Professor at RMIT University, Con Stavros, mentioned how the recent revelations could affect the racing industry.

“They certainly made the general public more aware some of the issues. Are they certainly brought them to the attention of many people. I don't think they're particularly damaging as of yet, so, I think it's really holding down the racing authorities to try and act to notice the relative revelations that have been made and make positive strides forward to be able to deal with it”, Mr Stavros said.
