'Very encouraging': Queensland records just two more locally-acquired COVID-19 cases as lockdown decision looms

Greater Brisbane's lockdown could still end on Thursday after the number of COVID-19 cases in two clusters rose by just two to 17.


Queensland has recorded two new locally-transmitted cases of COVID-19, taking the total number of cases across two Brisbane clusters to 17.

Both of the new cases were linked to a nurse at Princess Alexandra Hospital's coronavirus ward who had received her first vaccine dose, Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said on Wednesday.
