This was the main message sent by the five countries partaking in a meeting between their respective Foreign Ministers that took place yesterday in Cairo.
Recent developments in Libya, as well as general security issues in the Eastern Mediterranean, have been at the heart of the meeting, which was an expanded co-operation between Greece, Cyprus, Egypt, and France, with Italy holding an observer nation status.
There was a unanimous decision that declared the Turkey-Libya border demarcation agreement as null and void. The five countries have stepped up their support for the political process of resolving the conflict in Libya, within the framework set by the UN and the so-called Berlin process.
Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias welcomed the presence of France, which, he noted, took a clear stance both during the meeting and in the subsequent announcements. Cypriot Foreign Minister Nikos Christodoulides noted, that in Libya "we are unfortunately witnessing the same aggressive behavior displayed by Turkey, in Cyprus and in the Aegean".
