Brisbane to enter snap three-day lockdown as four more locally acquired COVID-19 cases recorded

The discovery of four new locally-acquired cases of COVID-19 has forced the Queensland government to impose a three-day lockdown on Greater Brisbane and make face coverings mandatory across the state.

Three day lockdown beginning from 29 March, 5 pm Brisbane time March 29 includes the Ipswich, Logan, Redlands, Moreton and Brisbane local government areas.
Masks are now mandatory on public transport right across the whole state.

Household gatherings will be limited to 30 people

There will only be four reasons for greater Brisbane residents to leave the home - essential work, and to buy essential supplies - food, medications, to look after a vulnerbale person, and for exercise.
