To face an interview is the most important and final step to get your dream job. So, here are the three most important things you need to do when preparing for that crucial interview.

1. Learn What You Can About The Organisation And The Role

Research the organisation’s work /business

It is important to know the company/organisation's work area. You can find the information about its present and upcoming plans on the official website, media articles or via press release.

organisation’s culture

The Good organisations take their brand perception seriously. You can find out about the work culture of any Organisation by visiting their official social media presence. This information will help you to judge whether you can adjust with them or not.

Be clear

You must be clear about the position requirement. You should be prepared to answer how you would meet the requirements for the particular role. You can prepare the answers by reading the advertisements again. Do not give general answers.

Research the people interviewing you

If possible to find out the name of the people interviewing you. You may research about them and their contribution to the organisation or in that particular field. It will help to boost your confidence and make an impression.

2 Know Yourself

Know your capabilities

The interview is an opportunity for the employer to understand your broader capabilities - how you cope with challenges, how you adapt to change, how quickly you can learn. Be clear about own strengths, passions and areas for development. Prepare some examples of how you have come up with creative solutions, overcome adversity or stayed calm under pressure. You may briefly tell the story of a problem you have faced and how you overcame. It will be more effective than just saying, ‘I'm a problem-solver'.

your career goals

The most troublesome question in an interview is, ‘Where will you be in five years?’To answer this question you need to know what skills do you want to learn or to have in five years? What kind of organisation do you want to work for? What will be your financial reward? Now’s the time to do that soul-searching about what you really want.

3 Take Care

Sleep Well

This is one of those occasions where you should try to prioritise an early night over other commitments if you can. You’ll think more clearly and be more focused on the day of the interview.
