The Gujarat Government is hosting the Vibrant Gujarat Summit every two years with the intention to attract global socio-economic development and to create more opportunities for the employment sector in the state.
The 9th Vibrant Gujarat summit will be held in Gujarat from January 18-20, 2019.
The delegation with members from Gujarati businesses, education, and sports sectors are visiting Australia to promote the summit. They attended the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit Roadshow at the Indian Consulate in Sydney and invited various Australian business sectors to participate.

The Gujarat government wants to encourage foreign businesses and investors to look at the state not only as an investment destination but also for commerce and trade opportunities.
Talking about the government's Vibrant Summit 2019, Consul General B. Vanlalvawna said: "It is a great platform for Australian businesses to invest in Gujarat as it is one of the developing states of the country."
"India's primary objective is to make the country more business friendly."
For Australia, India is their biggest export destination, and its export grew up by 60% in 2017.
New South Wales former premier and special envoy to India, Berry O'Farrell, said, "For Australia, relations with India are important, and there are many reasons that Australia should take India seriously."
"It is not only because of the economic opportunities, but the strategic direction of the government of India is showing Australian businesses how to invest in the country."

Expense Reduction Analyst in Australia, Deepesh Parikh, said, "We want to expand our business in India and Gujarat is one of the stepping stones to invest. We met delegates here and are planning to attend the Vibrant Gujarat summit."
The government of Gujarat expects participation from 25,000 delegates from more than 100 countries to the Summit in 2019.
Board member of the Australian Indian Council, Sheba Nandkeolyar, said, "It is an international summit, and business from around the globe will take part in the summit which will give other businesses an opportunity to meet them all in one place."
