Gujarat government announces travel scheme for young NRGs.

'Gujarat Paribhraman Yojana' - an opportunity for the young Non-Resident Gujaratis to explore their cultural roots in their home state.

The travel scheme was announced by the minister of state (MoS) for NRG division, Pradipsinh Jadeja. He added that it would be an opportunity to enjoy unique hospitality of Gujarat. 

Speaking with SBS Gujarati, the minister said, "Gujarat has a diverse, rich and ancient heritage of its culture, architect, arts, music, literature. Gujarati diaspora community is large, and the young generation of non-residential Gujarati NRGs want to explore their heritage."

Mr Jadeja also added that until this time, The young NRGs could only visit their hometown or relative's place because they did not have any other system to exposure more.

Under this scheme, young NRGs can travel across the state in a group of 25 members. There will be two groups of young people from 18 to 26 years of age. The tour will be organised twice in a year.
The government will provide facilities for transportation, lodging and boarding to the young NRGs during their trip. Along with the cultural heritage exposure, the youth will get an opportunity to converse with different groups of people like industrialists, artisans, literary people, historians and other social leaders during their trip.
"The whole details of this scheme will be published soon on Government's website. If Australia's Gujarati community takes the lead, to send a team of young Gujaratis will be an encouraging step. Gujarat government is in touch with the Gujarati community organisations and leaders based in different countries and requesting them to support this scheme by encouraging the young NRGs to visit the state."
This is an attempt to keep the Gujarati youth, from foreign nations, connected with their roots. To make them familiar with Gujarati language and dialects, cooking Gujarati cuisine, dance forms like Garba and Ras, handicrafts and others.

In the end, Mr Jadeda said,"The whole details of this scheme will be published soon on Government's website.
