Priyanshu Moliya, a 13-Year Baroda boy in the Gujarat state of India, came into the limelight after scoring an unbeaten 556 runs in a two-day match in Shri DK Gaekwad Under-14 cricket tournament.
Priyanshu played the memorable and record-breaking innings for the Mohinder Lala Amarnath Cricket Academy (MLACA) against the Yogi Cricket Academy at Vadodara Cricket Academy (VCA) ground.
The youngster, who has now made his presence felt in India's domestic cricket circuit, is mentored by India's 1983 World Cup winning team member Mohinder Amarnath.

Priyanshu hit 98 fours and a six in his mammoth innings of 556* runs in 319 balls. That helped his team to put 826 runs on the board with the loss of four wickets and then bowled out the opposition for just 84 runs in their second innings. Apart from batting through the record breaking innings, Priyanshu also claimed a total of six wickets in the match.
MLACA registered the victory by an innings and 689 runs.
Priyanshu tells SBS Gujarati that his record innings, which surpasses those of current Indian test player Prithvi Shaw's record innings of 546 runs, were his "natural game"
"Their bowling attack was good and I was beaten many times," says Priyanshu "But, these innings have boosted my confidence and I will try to play these kind of innings in future also."
The right-handed batsman says his role models are Sachin Tendulkar and current Indian cricket team's captain Virat Kohli.
"I always follows these two great players," he says. "I learnt qualities like dedication and hard work from Sachin Tendulkar, while I keep watching Virat's batting technique and style and try to implement it."
Priyanshu's father Sureshbhai says he is ecstatic with his son's unimaginable innings. He tells SBS Gujarati, "I am overjoyed, I knew he [Priyanshu] has all the skills to play long innings, and he has done it... Priyanshu started playing cricket at the age of eight and he has been training for the last three years under Mohinder Amarnath, one of the greatest all-rounders India has ever produced."
