The city of Sydney run Youth Week in the City every year as part of NSW Youth Week. Youth Week is supported by NSW government and is organised by young people, for young people, in communities across NSW and Australia. This year it is taking place from the 13th April to 22nd April.
International Youth Fest is a part of the youth week celebration. The International students are working with the City of Sydney, Study NSW and ISANA as volunteers to host an International Youth Fest.
International Student Ambassador and a member of the organising committee, Nikhil Patel says, "This is one of the events for international students to bring out the best of Sydney’s multicultural atmosphere. It is an intercultural sports and activities event."
There are loads more interactive activities that anyone can get involved in: For a sports-loving person, there will be opportunities to play cricket, table tennis, basketball etc.
There will be some entertainment activities like karaoke, dance game, adult face painting, henna art, photo booth, mandala art, giant chess and much more.
Mr Nikhil also added that the organising committee has also invited different organisation which provide essential information to international students during their stay in Australia like Fair Work Ombudsman, Fair trading, Surf Life Saving NSW, NSW Police, CricketNSW, Multicultural Gambling Service etc.
