Premier Gladys Berejiklian held a media briefing in Sydney to brief journalists about her upcoming trade mission to India.
Speaking about the significance of her five-day visit to India the Premier said," It is important for the mainstream population to appreciate the significance of NSW- India relationship and where it's going to go in future. The Indian community has demonstrated their work ethic, their capacity to provide and contribute to NSW. I always feel incredibly proud."

Trade and Business:
India is known as a Global IT giant, so NSW Government is looking towards Information and Computing Technology Indian businesses and what they can contribute to develop western Sydney city. In May, NSW government is going to organise an International Forum to discuss the future of western Sydney city, and Government is going to invite Indian local and international businesses.
Education:
NSW government is well aware of the settlement hardship faced by International students, and the government is trying to make that process easier. The Premier also informed that she had requested University to offer some incentive packs to International students, i.e. travel concession.
Film- Bollywood:
NSW Government will discuss the filmmaking opportunities and challenges with Indian film industry. In future, NSW Government may organise the Syndey Indian Film Festival with some private partnership. In response to the query about Australia's Film subsidies and rebate scheme, the premier replied that she is well aware of the hurdle and the Government has already taken steps to make process effective.
