'Open House' for consular matters

An 'Open House' service will be held on every first Friday of the month.

The Consulate General of India in Melbourne has started a new service of 'Open House' for any consular related matters.

With the start of the new service, Indians residing in Melbourne will have a chance to have their consular queries heard.

The session focuses on Visa, Passport, OCI - (Overseas Citizen of India) and PCC - (Police Clearance Certificate) related issues.

Rakesh Malhotra, Acting Consul General in Melbourne, told SBS Gujarati, "Open House service especially looks into consular related matters, We will organize an Open House session on every first Friday of every month. It will help the Indian community to solve their Visa, Passport, OCI and PCC related queries.

Every first Friday of month

The open House service commenced on 1st June 2018, and it will be held on every first Friday of every month.

Moreover, it will be beneficial as it won't require any prior appointment to attend the session.
