Several cricket fans seen chanting allegedly racial comments to Indian fans and players at the recently concluded Boxing Day Test match between India and Australia.

According to various media reports, the incident happened during the third day's play at the Melbourne Cricket Ground's bay 13. The fans who were involved in chanting these comments were evicted from the stadium for their behaviour.

In a video posted by cricket website ESPNcricinfo, some fans can be seen chanting "show us your visa" to Indian players and spectators. Fans at the bottom tier of the MCG's Great Southern Stand got a formal warning from Cricket Australia against this sloganeering during the first two days of the match. CA warned if it did not stop, all fans in the bay would be ejected from the ground.
However, that happened again on day three leading to several fans being evicted.

According to ESPNcricinfo, A Cricket Australia spokesperson said: "Cricket Australia takes a zero-tolerance stance against any form of abuse or racial vilification at any of our matches, whether it be towards fans, players or staff."

"Victoria Police and MCG stadium security monitored the behaviour of the crowd in a section of the stadium and evicted several fans for inappropriate behaviour."
Indian captain Virat Kohli was also on the target of some fans during the Test. But, he acted in a rather indifferent but distinctive manner towards these racial chants from the fans.

On day three, captain Kohli heard some comments and bowed down towards the spectators in response to their racial verbal abuse.

India has defeated Australia by 137 runs at the MCG and leading the Border - Gavaskar series by 2-1. The fourth Test match of the series will start from 3rd January 2019 at Sydney.
