Akshay Karnewar, a player from the Vidarbha Ranji team, has surprised everyone on and off the field with his recent acrobatic act during the Irani Cup match against the Rest of India cricket team.
His talent came to light on the first day of the match as he bowled with both arms.
He first bowled with his left arm against Shreyas Iyer , who is a right handed batsman, and confused him with his miraculous technique.
Later, when he came to bowl against Ishan Kishan, a left handed batsman, he informed the umpire beforehand about changing his bowling action and then bowled with his right arm.
His unorthodox bowling action surprised every fielder on the ground, including the commentators.
One of the commentators was heard saying, "Both his bowling styles are uncomplicated and very similar, a rare commodity in cricketers”.
Akshay Karnewar is an ambidextrous spinner and with his unique bowling ability, he has made everyone stand up and pay attention to his talent in Indian domestic cricket.
This is not the first time that the 26-year-old bowler has surprised his fellow cricketers.
During Australia's last tour of India in 2017, he stunned the Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoines with his extraordinary skills when he bowled slow left-arm orthodox, as well as off-breaks during a practice match in Chennai.
