માઈગ્રન્ટ વર્કર્સના અધિકારોનું રક્ષણ કરવા એક નવી સેવા શરૂ થઇ છે. ઓસ્ટ્રેલિયામાં વિવિધ ક્ષેત્રે કર્મચારીઓનું શોષણ રોકવાના બહોળા પ્રયાસના ભાગ રૂપે આ પહેલ થઇ છે જે ખાસ migrant workers માટે કામ કરશે. (ગુજરાતીમાં અહેવાલ સંભાળવા ઉપર ક્લિક કરો)

The Migrant Workers Centre aims to get workers on temporary and permanent visas to learn more about their rights on the job.

Some employers have been found to take advantage of unsuspecting workers. 

Complaints and issues migrant workers report vary from language barriers to a perceived lack of respect. 

But it's underpayment or non-payment of wages or entitlements, like superannuation, that's the main concern. 

It's prompted the Victorian Trades Hall Council to establish The Migrant Workers Centre: a place devoted to looking after the state's newest workers.
