Indian gymnast Dipa Karmakar has become the first Indian to qualify for the Olympics in Gymastic. Dipa Karmakar in from Tripura.

Dipa created history at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow where she became the first Indian to win a medal at the games in  Gymastics for India.

According to Wikipedia Dipa Karmakar who hails from Agartala, started at age 6 and has been coached by Bisheshwar Nandi who is considered a veteran gymnastic coach. 

But that's not it. According to Wikipedia the 22 year old is one of only five women gymnasts in the world who have successfully completed the Produnova vault and holds the record for logging the highest score in the world in this form of artistic Gymnastic vault.

Produnova vault is considered one of the toughest vaults in women's gymnastics and is even deemed dangerous. Dipa Karmakar won the bronze at 2014 Commonwealth games after performing this vault. She was placed fifth at the 2015 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in the vault performance.
