A pregnant woman was killed in a high speed car crash with a stolen car in Hobart. She was 32 weeks pregnant. A 32-week-term baby was delivered alive from the woman who died in the collision at 1am on Friday morning.

A 15-year-old boy has been charged with manslaughter who crashed this stolen car. He has also been charged with motor vehicle stealing, police said.

Earlier a manhunt was underway for the driver of the stolen car, while three youths travelling in that car, a Toyota Rav, escaped the crash with minor injuries.

They were two girls aged 12 and 15 and a boy aged 15.

The alleged driver, 15, was later this morning located at a house in Kingston.

The woman, 24, died as a result of the crash and her unborn child was later delivered at the Royal Hobart Hospital. Police said her two-year-old son was also in the car and received only minor injuries. The woman was returning home after dropping her partner to work at a bakery.
