A 33-year-old Indian-origin Sikh woman and her seven-month-old daughter were found brutally murdered at their house in Malaysia.
Kamaljit Dorairaja and her daughter Ishlyn Kaur were discovered lying dead inside their house in Rawang town of the country's Selangor state on 14th April.
Local newspaper Malay Mail Online reported that strangulation marks were found on her neck while her baby had bruises all over her body.
The victims are believed to have either been strangled or smothered to death though the exact cause behind their death was not immediately known.
Kamaljit’s father-in-law was the first one to spot the bodies.
Mother and daughter were expected at Vaisakhi celebrations at her father-in-law’s house. When they failed to turn up, father-in-law went looking for them and found the car in the car park and the front door locked.
He then went to the rear of the house and discovered the back door ajar and two dead bodies inside the house.
Police have arrested Kamaljit's husband in connection with the double murder after initial investigations. He is in police custody.
