The Bureau of Meteorology has warned cold damaging winds, snow, and hail are hitting the south and eastern parts of the country as a cold front sweeps across southeast Australia.
The Antartic blast has already brought snow to Alpine areas as well as parts of Tasmania.
The freeze and chill is expected to intensify in Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania from today and ACT and NSW from tomorrow.

Mt Lofty Ranges – South Australia
Great Dividing Range – Queensland
Blue Mountains’ – NSW
Oberon and Barrington Tops, Northern Tablelands – NSW-Queensland border
Snowy Mountains, Mount Ginini, Perisher Valley, Charlotte Pass, Thredbo – NSW
Parts of ACT
Mt Buller, Mt William, Dandenong and Macedon Ranges - Victoria
Mt Wellington – Tasmania
Many parts have already received snow.
