On his return from an Anzac Day service on Monday a young Navy officer was bashed as he alighted from a train at Glenfield Station in the South-West of Sydney. It was broad day light at 2.45 pm when the young officer approached a group of men who were drinking and harassing commuters.

The young officer was attacked by one of the men, when the officer asked them to stop drinking and troubling commuters. The 24 year officer was punched in the nose for being a good Samaritan but did not need treatment.

The Police is investigating the incident.
