Police operation underway in Parramatta

Trains on the western line are suspended between Harris Park and Westmead and train passengers have been advised to allow extra travel time due to delays.

A Police operation is underway in Sydney's Parramatta, The Sydney Morning Herald reports.

Access to parts of Westfield and train station has been blocked by the police.

T1 Sydney Trains tweeted that trains have been suspended between Harris Park and Westmead due to this operation. Passengers have been advised to allow extra time due to this delay.

Buses too have been blocked at Parramatta Interchange.

Some commuters took to Twitter to share what is happening on ground.
