Veteran Indian film actress Reema Lagoo passed away in Mumbai on Thursday morning.
She died at the age of 59 of a cardiac arrest, Indian media reports.
Reema Lagoo made her acting debut in early 1980s, her first major film was through Bollywood movie Kalyug in 1981 co-starring Shashi Kapoor, Rekha and Raj Babbar.
She gained popularity after blockbuster hit Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak co-starring Aamir Khan, Juhi Chawla, Alok Nath and Dalip Tahil.
She subsequently appeared in numerous commercial hits like Maine Pyar Kiya co-starring Salman Khan, Bhagyashree Patwardhan, Alok Nath and Laxmikant Berde, Saajan co-starring Sanjay Dutt, Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit, Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! co-starring Salman Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Mohnish Bahl and Anupam Kher, Yeh Dillagi, Dilwale , Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kal Ho Naa Ho etc among other films.
She was Bollywood's most loved mom, having worked with biggest stars, Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan and Sanjay Dutt in movies like ‘Kal ho na ho’, ‘Qayamat se Qayamat tak’, ‘Vaastav’, 'Hum Sath Sath Hai', 'Judwaa', 'Maine Pyar Kiya' and 'Saajan'.
A veteran Marathi theatre artist, Reema Lagoo has worked in several films, dramas and television shows during her four decade long career.
