A 17-year-old girl rammed her car into a house in Melbourne’s south-east, while on her first driving lesson. She was driving under her father's care when the accident occurred.
Her father warned her that she was going too fast, when instead of applying brakes or slowing down, she hit the accelerator and smashed into the house where the Dhaliwal family lives.
One of the residents of the house, Gurpreet Dhaliwal is seven months pregnant with her first child but she wasn’t home when the incident occurred. The house was empty, no one was hurt but the teenager appeared deeply distressed.
"Thank god, I was not home when this happened," 7-month-pregnant Gurpreet Dhaliwal said about the car ramming into their bedroom.

The emergency services rushed to the site and the car has now been removed.
Dhaliwals will be putting up with their relatives till the damage is assessed and it is determined if anyone can live in the house or not.
According to the report that appeared on 7news, Police are investigating but say it was an honest mistake and it is unlikely the distressed young driver will face charges.
However, the car was not insured and the parents are likely to foot the bill caused by damages.
