An Indian-origin girl, Ekta Desai, living in New York was abused and harassed.

All this because of her nationality - Indian.

Ekta was on her way back from work when this incident happened on a city train.

This is glaring especially after an Indian engineer, Srinivas Kuchibhotla from Kansas, was shot dead in an apparent hate crime or racial attack by an American citizen.

Ekta shot and put up a video of the man abusing her on Facebook page.

In her post, she writes that she had her headphones on when the man started yelling at her.

After ignoring the abusive man for some time, Ekta noticed that he was then targeting an Asian lady.

“Asian piece of shit to I will F¥*€k you all right here to get your F¥*€k!%g ^$$es back to your country etc etc etc” (putting it in the best words here) he went on relentlessly!” The Quint quoted Ekta who wrote this in her Facebook post.
