India might have lost the third ODI and the series against Australia, but that does not mean one can mess with Virat Kohli.
Virat Kohli broke south-african batsman AB DeVilliers' record of scoring fastest 7000 runs in ODI as well as scored his 24th century at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Sunday. However, it was his perfect response of Australian bowler James Faulkner that has gone viral.
Australians are known world over for their 'sledging' skills. So when Virat Kohli was going all out against Australia during the 3rd ODI in Melbourne, James Faulkner tried to distract him with a little sledging.
Kohli was at 73 runs at that time. But unfazed with Faulkner's snide remarks, Kohli hit back in the most epic way.
Here's what happened:
While bowling the 35th over, Faulkner was returning to his bowling mark when Kohli finished a single at the non-striker’s end. Faulkner walked up to Kohli and said something that the microphones failed to pick. However, they sure picked Kohli's epic response.
"You're wasting your energy. There's no point, I've smashed you enough in my life. Just go and bowl," Kohli told Faulkner.
