Around 20 Indian Australians which included Tanvi Mor, Dr Sonia Singh, Rakesh and Monica Raizada, Sunita Sethi, Yogita Bharadwaj and several others were part of an ‘act’ that conveyed a strong message about ‘Violence against Women’.

Group member Tanvi Mor told SBS Hindi, “The main aim was to send out a strong message against family violence. Our community members face so many types of abuse – be it violence, physical, sexual or emotional. On this International Women’s Day, we decided to spread awareness a bit differently. Today we conducted a silent flash mob here at Federation Square. Soon, we will be releasing a video with music and text which will help us take the message further’.
