An Australian skier – Owen Lansbury has filmed an encounter with a snow leopard in Kashmir.
While skiing down the icy slopes in Gulmarg, Kashmir, Owen Lansbury and his American Tour guid – Dave Marchi, "almost ran over" the endangered cat.
Owen Lansbury, who was filming his skiing experience, captured everything on his camera and posted the video to his Facebook page.
The video clearly shows how the leopard lied low for a while but then went away downhill.
"The story is we skied our first powder line and the guide in yellow almost ran over the leopard," Landsury wrote on his Facebook page.
"I stopped just as it huddled in the snow, where it stayed for about a minute checking us out.
"It then let out a solid roar and bounded away down the slope towards Dave, but scooted off into the forest, where we think it probably had a kill stashed. Pretty amazing experience!"
