A five-floor-high slide at a shopping mall in China has made headlines world over. Locally, it has triggered a lot of attention and discussion.

Local media reports suggest that the giant winding slide is made up of stainless steel. The photos depict that this dragon-shaped slide starts on the top floor of the mall and ends all the way on the ground floor.

It is expected to open after the Lantern Festival, which falls on February 22 this year.

But even before it is opened to the public, the slide has garnered lot of attention. Photos are already doing the rounds on social media.

The Shanghai Daily reported that this slide has attracted big crowds. "It looks fun and my son was too curious," said Yao Jin told the daily, who brought her five year old son to the store.

"My son was excited and very interested to have a try, but I still have some concerns on its safety," said Yao, who lives near the store.

While it has awed people, very few are willing to take a chance on this slide which is not transparent.

Quite a few have raised safety concerns after looking at this steep slide even as the authorities continue to fix certain safety hazards.
