The latest situation is that now Thai rescue team has rescued 14 Lao villagers who stuck in an islands, 4 men, 6 women one of which pregnant and 4 children. Apart from that they also found that there are 800 Lao still in Xai Done Khong Village.
Today the 27th July 2018, there are dozen of Thai trucks has reached Laos to deliver necessity for Lao flooded victims.
According to New York Times report, it will be also a challenges for rescuing due to the risk of exposing to bombs that left in Laos during US Secret War.
International communities are helping Laos by sending their rescue staffs, boats, helicopters and foods, medicines, clothes, blankets, torches, temporary shelters, water purifier, water etc to Lao villagers.
The rescue is ongoing as international community assistance has arrived.
Lao National Treasury Department has also set up an account for donation which then will be transfer to the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare.
Bank Pour Commerce Exterior Du Laos (BCEL) has also set up a fundrasing campaign called One Heart which has already raised up to more than USD 200,000 and it is still keep going.
Thai King Rama 10 has personally donated 1 million Baht along with Thai government 5 million Baht.
There are many other Thai organisations have also donated and volunteer to help raising fund especially Thai Off road community and Thaib BNK 48 band is planning a concert on the 31 July 2018, called ThailandforAttapeu to raise fund for Laos.
Japanese government has deliver help through Japan International Cooperation Agency to Laos, especially water purifier, tent, plastic tubs, plastic botle, drinking water.
South Korean government also send its rescue team along with helicopters and other assistance stuffs to help and promised that It will investigate this dam collapsed incident to find out what happened as its two company along with Lao and Thai Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding company joint-venture to form PNPC to build Xe Pian Xe Nam Noy dam.
Singapore has donated USD 100,000 as well as Vitnam has donated USD 200,000 for Laos.#
