More coronavirus cases in Victoria

As there are more COVID-19 cases in Victoria coronavirus hotsports more people are refusing to get test however the Victorian government is urgeing people to get test for the sake of themselves, their families, their communities and for Victoria.

Crucial COVID-19 update on the 03.07.2020:

  • Victoria Premier Daniel Andrews is urging Victorians in COVID-19 hotspots to get a test. It is not just for themselves, for their families and friends, their communities but also for Victoria.   • In the last 24 hours, there are 66 new coronavirus cases in Victoria. Currently, there are over 440 active cases in which 20 are hospitalized and 6 are in intensive care unit (ICU) according to Victoria Health Minister Jenny Mikakos.
  • These postcodes have the most coronavirus cases so far: 
    • 3064 - Craigieburn, Donnybrook, Mickelham, Roxburgh Park, Kalkallo.
    • 3047 - Broadmeadows, Dallas , Jacana.
    • 3021 -Albanvale, Kealba, Kings Park, St Albans.
    • 3060 - Fawkner.
  • There are 2 healthcare workers test positive of COVID-19 in the Northern Health Department of Emergency and close contact has been traced.
  • There is a student from the Mount Ridley P-12 College in Craigieburn test positive of COVID-19 lead to this school being closed for deep cleaning and those students who are close contact with this student are traced.
  • There is on polices officer from Werribee Police station tested positive of COVID-19 and close contact has been traced.
The Victorian government has announced lockdown for 36 suburbs in 10 postcodes identified as coronavirus hotspots starting from the 01.07.2020 to 29.07.2020. 

  • 3012 -Brooklyn, Kingsville, Maidstone, Tottenham, West Footscray.
  • 3021 -Albanvale, Kealba, Kings Park, St Albans.
  • 3032 - Ascot Vale, Highpoint City, Maribyrnong, Travancore.
  • 3038 - Keilor Downs, Keilor Lodge, Taylors Lakes, Watergardens.
  • 3042 - Airport West, Keilor Park, Niddrie.
  • 3046 - Glenroy, Hadfield, Oak Park.
  • 3047 - Broadmeadows, Dallas, Jacana.
  • 3055 - Brunswick South, Brunswick West, Moonee Vale, Moreland west.
  • 3060 - Fawkner.
  • 3064 - Craigieburn, Donnybrook, Mickelham, Roxburgh Park, Kalkallo.
Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews said that police are active in these hotspots areas and on the spot will be issued for an unreasonable outing. Victorian in these coronavirus hotspots must stay home unless they are going for grocery or necessity shopping, working and studying, medical services and exercise, or coronavirus testing. 

Jenny Mikakos said that the Victorian government is ramping up 10 new coronavirus testing spots in these hotspot postcodes and today more testing sites will be in Brunswick West, Fawkner, and tomorrow (4 July 2020) there will be more mobile testing for Glenroy, Roxburgh Park, and Craigieburn.

New South Wales (NSW)  has warned Victorian who is from Melbourne coronavirus hotspots not to travel to NSW will face $11,000 or face 6 months jail time or both. Police have also been active in Murray River to check people who cross to its state.

People in Australia must stay at least 1.5 metres away from others and gatherings are limited to two people unless you are with your family or household.
