There are some of the main points by Australian Prime Minister and Dr Brendan Murphy press conference late afternoon the 29 March 2020 Sunday. Some of the main points are as following:
- On 30 March 2020, the Australian Banking Association indicated that they will work with tenants and commercial tenancy or landlords to handle the rental issues.
- Renters will not evict and they don't have to pay rent for 6 months but have to talk with landlord and working with bank, if not deal by three parties they will not receive assistance from the government.
- Australians must stay home unless buying essential items: foods, medicines, essential goods.
- Australians over 60 should stay home, self quarantine and should not gather with other people for their own good.
- Vulnerable Australians or self isolation people will need to register so the essential package can be delivered.
- Only go out to work, compassionate reasons, study.
- Skate parks and gyms to be close from Monday 30 March 2020.
- Wedding and funeral still stick to the previous rules but boot camp only allow 2 people reduced from 10 previously stated.
- Walking and exercising with your family is allowed but only one other party that is not part of the family is allow to join but social distance apply.
- Both Australian Prime Minister and Dr Branden Murphy says self isolation and social distancing has flattened the curve but still worry about community to community transmission.
- State and territory will decide to implement restriction and penalties for those who breach self isolation and social distancing.
